Use it!

Why would God give you boldness if he didn’t expect you to use it? He proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ—with all boldness and without hindrance! Acts 28:31 Paul preached the gospel with boldness. He need to be bold. It’s not that people would’ve have listened to him if he wasn’t. They would have. But maybe not a second or fifth time. Be honest. Most of us would barely welcome one…..

No more making room

He must increase, but I must decrease.
-John 3:30

Stop making room for God. Fill your heart & mind with God first and then make room for other things.

What’s more important?

More important than the words of your prayers are the prayers of your words.

Praying can be difficult, I get that. Besides taking the time to actually do it and pray for all the things you think are important, there are the words of our prayers that so many of us worry about. I encourage people to mess up with their prayer words. Expand the way you pray and the types of praying you do. Who cares if you use the “wrong words”? We’ve been promised the Holy Spirit intercedes on our behalf because we don’t know how to pray. So, you might as well let it get a little messy.

He also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous and regarded others with contempt: ‘Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax-collector. The Pharisee, standing by himself, was praying thus, “God, I thank you that I am not like other people: thieves, rogues, adulterers, or even like this tax-collector. I fast twice a week; I give a tenth of all my income.” But the tax-collector, standing far off, would not even look up to heaven, but was beating his breast and saying, “God, be merciful to me, a sinner!” I tell you, this man went down to his home justified rather than the other; for all who exalt themselves will be humbled, but all who humble themselves will be exalted.’
-Luke 18:9-14

More important than the words of your prayers are the prayers of your words.

It’s time

You don’t find or make time. If you’re going to do what’s important, you have to make the most of time already given to you.

Finding & making time are our playful illusions.  Time has been given to us; it’s nothing we can create or alter.  All we can do is make the most of the time God has given to us.

Be careful then how you live, not as unwise people but as wise, making the most of the time, because the days are evil. So do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
-Ephesians 5:15-17
